Will Kushner Companies do the right thing?

The developer, Kushner Companies, that purchased six buildings from the Jehovah Witnesses’ Brookyn portfolio is planning to redevelop them into a mix of office, commercial and residential space. This $100 million project is expected to create hundreds of construction and permanent jobs. It will require review by Community Board 2 and the entire New York City Council.

Hundreds of working men and women from Build Up NYC rallied outside Brooklyn Borough Hall on Tuesday with activists from Center for Popular Democracy, the New York Committee on Occupational Safety and Health, and Public Citizen to call for good jobs and park space for Brooklyn residents.
